"B" cause it's the Holidays!
The exhausted B's donned their best flirty Holiday gear adding just the right amount of sparkle to their outfits to cast the usual spell on the boyz in the room! They arrived at the venue where hoards of party-goers had spilled outside onto the street and sidewalks. It was the perfect setting for a classic "B" entrance complete with the leggy exit from the Merc as the valet held the doors open as each of them grabbed their jeweled bags and flipped their hair making eye contact with no one. Their shoes glistened as they took each step to the door with a toy in hand for the admission ticket. Boyz were assembling as the doors came bounding open and the piercing din of the crowd began to escalate. A group of some 800 attendees had packed into the two floors of the restaurant with a line of people watchers body to body at the second floor railing. A glance to the left revealed the congestion at the bar and the sounds of a full piece band including horns could be heard over the noise. Awaiting girl friends came forward to welcome the "B's" with the usual exchange of cheek smooching from the boyz as they passed through the crowd. First stop; the bar for a "tini" in a stemmed vessel to add the perfect walk around accessory. Their near perfect holiday looks were complete with designer dresses, a little fur and feathers, and just the right Christian Laboutton shoes. With a few sips taken, they made their way up the windy open staircase to the second floor crowd assembling at the top to give their greetings to the "B's" as they arrived. It was a crowd of the who's who with anyone who's anyone decked to the 9's. Each of them was vying for their chance at local fame as the "B's" and their train of boyz moved slowly through the anxious gaggle of chatter making their presence known to all. The event was in full swing with the music blasting and the drinks flowing. The dashing young attractive waitstaff made their way through what will no doubt be once again the party of the year serving little bites of teasers for food. Lines at the bar were 6 and 7 deep as the thirsty laughter of the impatient crowd failed to intimidate the bartenders who seemed to manage serving a dozen drinks a second. Stylishly dressed men encircled the "B's" as they settled on the perfect place to be at mid-point in the upper floor. Tini glasses in hand, they dropped their glittery bags on the table in front of them, reapplied lipstick and received what seemed like an endless flow of boyz who visited them. Business cards were lining up by their handbags as the visiting boyz left a record of their sultry sniffing around the "B" table. A traffic jam of suitors was causing quite a stir 3 deep around their little perch and fresh vodka drinks with floating ice crystals and plumb green olives were lining up in front of the girls. Attorneys, investment bankers, oil and gas moguls, plastic surgeons and the like filed by the table hoping to get their turn at a moment of "B" fame. As the hours passed and a dash to the powder room for a quick touch-up on the make-up, the "B's" knew it was time for their escape. Tugging on their dresses, checking their hair in the mirror and making sure there were no lipstick smudges on their teeth, they took a last glance in the mirror and made their way to the circular staircase for their exit. As they moved slowly towards the stairway, boyz began to inquire about where their next stop would be and invitations abounded for dinner at a number of the local hot spots. But a good "B" knows her limit, so the decision to leave the unruly crowd of boyz guessing was made with the exchange of a B to B glance and off they went to the valet stand to gather the Merc. A hail of flirtatious boyz followed them to where they waited for their car and held the doors as the leggy girls in their mini-skirts made their rock star exit ending another perfect night of Holiday cheer!

The B's do Christmas in the Streets!
The B's showed up to the first party donned in their North Pole fashion garb; a Mrs. Santa costume and little green Elf! Mrs. Santa was wearing a plush red mini-dress trimmed in fluffy white fur with a matching hat and her Luchesse cowgirl boots. Her partner, TOB, was donned in a richly appointed bright green Italian leather motorcycle style jacket, black suede over the knee wedge boots and a black Fedora, and of course ornaments of golden glittery and semi-precious stones dangling from both of their necks. A few too many libations were enjoyed before setting out into the streets where thousands of party goers had gathered. Every Victorian home was lit to the max and had their porches brimming with happy smiling faces enjoying seasonal fun in the form of live music, dancing, and of course, food and beverage! Bizarre costumes were the dress code as festively decked Holiday characters on roller skates, bicycles and being pulled in wagons weaved through the crowd in the streets. B and TOB were the subjects of many a photograph as party goers admired their fashionable dress while they danced their way down the streets. Occasional stops to replenish the vodka drinks were necessary so they made their way into private parties along the way to enjoy a few refreshments and give a photographic opportunity to some anxious boyz! The small group that left the first party had now attracted a following as the B's continued to snake their way up and down the neighborhood streets for hours of partying and dancing to live band after live band. So many lights were glistening around the B's, cameras snapping, dancing boyz circling them and crowds stopping in their tracks to take it all in. A final stop for a few "sugar free" jello shots rumored to be at a party at a certain location, and then it was time to lose the train of boyz and make their escape. A quick exit out the door after duking into the bathroom to powder their noses, and a short walk back to the Merc where they stripped off their costumes and threw them into the trunk. Underneath it all they revealed sharply dressed B attire and made their way into the night where they stopped for a nightcap before calling it another fabulous B night!

B's Belly Up to the Bar!
'Tis the season for Holiday Cheer and business parties and open houses! So the B's split up and attempted to make a few of the hottest gatherings of the season last night, treating the attendees to a B sighting! Decked out in red and black with a splash of sparkle at the neck, textured stockings and flirty high top boots, B arrived at the first event stepping out of the Merc to be greeted by the crowd now gathering near the door watching the who's who as they came in. The designers were all there; Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Ralph Lauren, and a multitude of up and coming trend setters! Fur and Mikimotos finest pearls with a dash of diamond, emerald and ruby held at bay by golden clasps hung at the cleavage of party goers dotted around the room. Perfect B lighting favored the crowd's appearance and champagne and roses were everywhere! Glasses clanked and little crystal plates held the delicious morsels of food being served by waitstaff with silver trays and dressed in black and white tuxedos. The business owners in the room were recognized as top patrons of the hosting company and spotlighted for the sake of networking as they were called to the bar to receive a token of appreciation. The room was packed and dozens of boyz found their way to the B and her girlfriends standing near the towering ice sculpture where the champagne was flowing! Little squares of chocolate and vanilla cream cake were being passed around and the flavors excited the tongues of everyone as they washed it down with more bubbly. Local print media was in attendance to capture every minute as the roaming photographer snapped images of the crowd posing them into little groups of smiling faces. After smooches from dozens of boyz on my cheek, it was time to make my way to the next gathering! I hopped into the Merc and traveled the short distance to the next party where cars were lined up in the valet area as patrons exited their cars carrying toys into the venue. The large crowd was spilling outside while the towering heaters kept them warm in the chilly night air. There was live music and more designer clothes and accessories on parade as the girls stood holding their pretty little drinks in martini glasses everywhere. Boyz began circling the B and her girlfriends as they approached the bar to get their little glass of libation in hand. In a matter of minutes, there were credit cards from the boyz wallets being flinged into the faces of the mixologist behind the bar. More munchies were being passed including a little sushi, some crispy little cheese stuffed yummies and even a little bite of filet mignon brioche. There was plenty of lively laughter and photos being snapped as patrons arrived with more toys placing them into a now large pile near the Christmas tree. No room for dancing, but the music filled the air as boyz were lulled into the circles of the B and her friends for titillating conversation. Just as the crowd began to diminish, it was time to make a quick stop at yet one more place before calling it a night. Once again, with a trail of disappointed boyz in tow, B made it to the car and dashed away to the last gathering. Pulling up to the door, it was clear that there were many that decided to do the same as I observed some of the party goers from the other events earlier that evening. As we approached the bar, our favorite bartender began to chill the glasses for what would be the last tini of the night, shaken not stirred, top shelf vodka with 3 plumb giant green olives stuffed with cheese. Boyz jumped out of their seats offering them to the B and her girls so we gave the Franco Sartos a rest and sat down and chatted it up with this new batch of possible suitors. Live music played in the background setting the tone for an evenings end as some calling cards were exchanged and telephone numbers added to the boyz cell phones. B and the girls gave each other the departure glance as we each sucked the final drop of beverage from their glasses munching on the last of the marinated olives. Each one now throwing their little shawls over their shoulders and heading for the door. The girls said goodbye to each other as the boyz watched longingly as each one jumped into the seat of their waiting car heading for home after a long night of B style parties!

B's Marathon Martini Lunch!
In true B style, a girlfriend in distress made a call to B for a last minute lunch and she grabbed her Franko Sarto over-the-knee boots, slid them over her textured tights, threw on a little Laundry mini-dress and blasted out in the Merc. to meet her! It was late so most of the lunch crowd had already returned to work, but that suited the girls just fine leaving them free to chat it up without concerns for the 'wall ears'. The gossip began with some spicy news about mutual girlfriends and their recent mishaps with the men in their lives. There was the story about the cheater who discovered he needed to trade in his beautiful young fiancee for a 50 something woman and the 50 year old girlfriend whose boyfriend traded her for a beautiful young girl! There was talk of travels to far lands and exciting finds made at the local markets that yielded some major buys on much sought after designer goodies! We shared and compared about the latest plastic surgery and non-surgical options to keep the B looking as youthful as ever, and secrets about some procedures gone wrong too! The nice bottle of wine was getting low and hours had passed and we both realized that it would be time for happy hour soon. That meant we needed to get busy on the cell phones and round up the girls for the next stop! After another hour of gossip and the final sips of Chianti, we headed out the door to the cars and made our way through the holiday shopping traffic to our rendezvous. We pulled up to the entrance of the restaurant where the valets converged on our car to whip open the doors. We each stepped out in the spotlight making a true B entrance as we scanned the room in search of the other girls we were meeting. Little cheek smooches were exchanged and a convergence of waiters was now watching like tow trucks at the scene of an accident. We selected a table in full view of the doorway to maximize exposure and we ordered our favorite happy hour beverages. A couple of nice appetizers were shared by all as we munched and gossiped about all who foolishly were not in attendance! The boyz began circling the table sniffing for the chance to meet us as we played coy and flipped our hair with our freshly painted nails. Designer handbags littered the table and our laughter permeated the area where most were watching with seeming envy as we commanded the attention of the staff without so much as a word. A bottle of champagne appeared all iced down with companion glasses sent by an observing patron seated at the bar. We gestured our B style thanks and clanked the glasses toasting to B power and another fun night out. As the last drops of bubbly were being consumed, a quick glance at our cell phones told of the passing time and the close of happy hour. It was time to grace another favorite haunt with our presence so we presented the waiter with our credit cards to split the bill 4 ways and scurried out to claim our cars leaving the boyz at the bar to drool as we departed. We drove a short distance to our next stop where once again the valets contributed to our orchestrated arrival. Four of us entered the establishment together turning heads as we approached the bar where the bartenders called us by our first names and began their mixology to put our favorite martinis on the granite top in front of us. Boyz began lining up 2 deep around our bar stools making their little mating moves as the women nearby wore looks of disdain. The managers made their way over leaving little kisses on the B's cheek and smiling in approval of our attendance. A couple of martinis each made the mood lively and we were all holding court with the boyz when one of them decided it was time to travel to yet one more location before calling it a night. Our little procession made the way to the parking lot where the valets pulled our cars up in a row and stood at attendance. We departed with a couple of boyz in passenger seats and headed closer to home for a final night cap. We made our entrance again catching the attention of the staff and bartenders watched as we chose our final landing spot. The martinis were quickly prepared and delivered and more levity was shared as our now new consorts were mesmerized by our B personalities and charm! It occurred to me that our little lunch was now on its 8th hour and I decided to sneak out after a trip to the ladies room so I handed my valet ticket to the doorman who had my car waiting. I streaked out of the parking lot and made my way home to get some all important beauty sleep because tomorrow is another day in the life of a B!

B's Turkey Holiday Bird and Bubbly
There was flour and bread crumbs in every inch of the kitchen as preparations for Thanksgiving were well under way. The shopping nightmare was now behind the B and the cooking ritual was presently at hand. A 21 pound bird took seniority over the other groceries in the refrigerator and dominated the available space. Loaves of bread were cut and cubed to dry, and a chicken broth and buttery blend that would become dressing was simmering on the stove. The food processor was hauled to the counter top and put to work on the heavy chopping of onion and celery that would be added to the bread crumbs in due time. Meanwhile, steps were under way to roll out the dough for the pie crust while the B mixed up the creamy pumpkin concoction that would become a pie! Yams were baking in the oven and the buzzer was screaming out it's reminder to remove them at once just as the simmering buttery blend was boiling over feeding the gas flames on the stove top! TOB was texting me as her house full of company had arrived and she was sneaking into the powder room to grab one of the little vodka bottles she stashed in the vanity drawer to prepare for the ensuing events to come. Just as the B almost neglected the corn bread baking in the oven, the door bell rang and a delivery of goodies from her favorite delicacy purveyor, David & something-or-other, was presented to her. B was gifted with yummy cheeses and tasty, plump pears that were wrapped in it's own tissue and protected with the armor of a form fitted cardboard cradle. Careful attention was given to including TOB's fave champagne to wash it all down with, and the bottle was immediately placed into the wine chiller for a post cooking celebration later in the day. Getting back to the now smokey kitchen, the dressing was finished and placed into large baggies to cool before stuffing them into the chilled bird. The yams were peeled and placed into a casserole ready to be dressed with the usual sweet goodies including marshmallows, brown sugar, butter (of course!) and fresh pecans from Aunt Cheryl's grove. The difficult decision to either clean the kitchen or investigate the appellation of champagne and cheeses was made in favor of the cheese. The B grabbed a few minutes in front her favorite housewives episode on the DVR with her chilled bubbly floating in a Waterford flute! Thanksgiving as only a B could do it!

The Other B's Solo Night
Ahhhh, another Friday night ho-hum Country Club party – a maze of pink polo-shirted, golf-skirted, spray tanned and otherwise enhanced women vying for the bartender’s attention to grab that first glass of Chardonnay. You know, the typical Club Set. Not this B! And not this night! Tonight was a battle of the bands concert on the lawn. A first annual (or one could hope). Without my wingman B, I was going it alone tonight. My first challenge – what to wear. I decided on skinny black jeans, over-the-knee boots (black natch), beige leather jacket, chunky gold jewels and, to ensure the most flattering facial lighting, a fabulous fedora. Strolling onto the scene and from the barrage of instant compliments from the boyz, as well as the evil eyes from those pink-shirted Chardonnay sippers, I realized I had selected the perfect outfit. Food, fun, frenzy and fabulous music. Several men and several martinis later (who keeps track of those minor details) I was being whirled around the dance floor. It turned out to be a hugely successful event at “The Club” and judging from their immobile expressions it was one the Club Set hadn’t seen in a long time, if ever. Pulsating music, flowing cocktails, flashbulbs…..but really, that’s just another night in the life of a B.

Out on the Town "B"less!
I knew I would be going it alone tonight without my other B, and that meant I had to psych myself up for what would most likely be a flood of unruly boyz to handle! The theme for the event was a "red hot" night so I selected a subtle red sequined dress and diamond jewelry with a little Judith Leiber bag and 4" heels with an open toe and black stockings. This was an eyeliner night so I stacked on the heavy make-up and wasn't sure who that was passing through my bedroom in the mirrors on the way out! I grabbed a little black fur to throw over my shoulders knowing that the ballroom would be chilly for my svelte frame and bare shoulders; stuffed the blackberry and bright red lipstick in the handbag and headed out the door. There were far too few people already in attendance when I arrived to be able to make my usual entrance and I feared that would dampen the night's expectations. The doorman opened the lobby door as I stepped out of my Mercedes handing the key to the valet. I winked as I entered the elevator lobby and made my way up to the ballroom where the dim cocktail light always favors a girls otherwise lacking good looks! I checked in and got my little stickers for my shopping spree at the Silent Auction tables. I made sure that I had a few blanks as it was apparent I would run out of the pre-printed sheet they had for me. Mani-pedis, micro-dermabrasions, shiny jeweled baubles and restaurant gift certificates were calling to me! I was surrounded by temptations everywhere with weekends at luxury beach houses, snow skiing packages and out of town spas listed among the treasures. The boyz were now beginning to stack up around me and little pink vodka drinks were being placed in my bright red finger tips painted to match my toes! The buzzing in my ear was distracting me as I tried to concentrate on my shopping while fielding 20 questions from all sides! I was easy to find in my little red sequined dress and wives were sneering in my periphery as their husbands just had to check out the B at the auction table! The program got under way and the usual rubber chicken dinner was served to a hungry crowd. There was a band and they were lining up to take turns spinning me on the dance floor while keeping me plied with the little vodka drinks with the wedges of lime. Dancing partners took to the floor and the boyz began their steady flow to take turns exhibiting their dance moves, the first of their mating calls which could be heard around the room by now. I gracefully entertained them with my dance steps, returned to the auction to collect my loot, and departed in the usual B fashion with boyz in tow! The valet brought the car, and, along with the mirage of men surrounding me, loaded my goodies into the trunk and the back seat, and I whisked away, once again leaving salivating consorts on the curb!
